Annika Leiby is completing her Master’s in Environmental Science and Management at the Bren School where she is specializing in Water Resources Management and obtaining a focus in Environmental Data Science. Annika’s summer research will involve surveying for groundwater level data in 55 countries around the world. She will then perform quality control on these data sets for further analysis and visualization. This summer, Annika will also be completing an internship with Clean Water Action, where she will be investigating groundwater contamination in Maryland from failing septic systems and from a CERCLA Superfund site at Fort Detrick. Annika hopes to pursue a career in groundwater, combining her interests in water resources and geology.
